16 Meetup Groups match “Movie Screening” near Boston, MA
So we've been quite busy over the past few years. Mike Hendrickson and I started the Great Model Shoots and running other meet up events and realized that we needed a base of operations. I now own one of the largest photo studios in New England. Worcester Photo Studios is a 10,000 sq foot studio which was originally an industrial building. We reclaimed it and built it up over the past year. We now have a steel plated room, models changing room, bay doors for cars or other large objects, props, …
This meet-up meets about once a month to view movies that bring awareness on a particular subject or in a more general way to human condition. Movies are projected on a big screen using a high quality projector. Each movie viewing is followed by a short facilitated discussion. The focus of the discussion is for people to talk about what they got from the movie and how it affects and inspires them. It is hosted by the Center Of Light, a spiritual and devotional community dedicated to consciousnes …

There arte also fioreign films shown in Bloomfield and at Wesleyan (a great movie secret place). Most of the fi …

This monthly event is geared at encouraging interaction with cinema from the diverse perspective of audience members. We screen a movie and discuss it. Inspired by the idea that movies are more than mere entertainment, we seek to engage with films as dialogue about life, faith, love, ideas, humanity, and our cultures. We want to actively be part of this conversation by viewing and discussing films in a group setting. The goal of The River Film Forum is to encourage diversity in our conversations …

I want to try an experiment. Imagine a typical weekday after a long day at work. You finally get home, collapse onto the couch, click on the television…and then you remember—you have a petting zoo meetup to go to in 45 minutes. Problem is you don’t want to go to the petting zoo. Sure, it seemed like it’d be a hoot when you signed up for it eight weeks ago, but dammit your feet are tired, and you just want to relax, and besides—the new episode of Space Commandos is on tonight. So regretfully you …
